Next Steps: Belong

This class is the basic introduction to our church family and what makes the DNA of River City Church. Since we have people from many different church backgrounds, this class is designed to clearly explain who we are and what we believe. You will also hear more about the vision of our church and how you can be a part of fulfilling this vision. After attending BELONG, you will be given the opportunity to become a member of River City Church.

Noodles and Doodles

We would love for our entire church family to come support the next generation at Noodles and Doodles! Noodles and Doodles is a fundraiser for our kids and students to be able to attend summer camp. By staying for a spaghetti dinner and silent auction after church, we are able to invest in the God-given destiny of our kids. Be a part of raising funds to send them to a life-changing week of camp!

Former Things Workshops

Former Things Workshops

How do we discover the power of the past?

We all inherit ways of living from our family and culture that are out of sync with the way of Jesus. So a key task in our apprenticeship to Jesus is being re-parented into the family of God. In this workshop, we will discover the power of the past by creating a family genogram. The end goal is to review key events in your family history and identify generational sins, brokenness, relational patterns, and inherited values.

As part of our new series, these evening workshops will be provided by both RCC pastors and christian counselors. The workshops will include times of teaching, exercises in understanding your past, reading of  scripture, and prayer; all pointed to not ignore your past but to "Deal With Your Past”.

Men's Conference

Mark your calendar for this year’s Men’s Conference at City First Church in Rockford. We know it’s easy to make excuses not to go, but when we take extended time to invest in our own spiritual lives alongside other Christian men, it helps us improve every aspect of life. Please prayerfully consider joining us on February 23-24, even if you’re only able to attend on Saturday! We will be driving back Friday night rather than staying at a hotel. The price is $39 if you confirm by February 9, so email Pastor Damian at damian@therivercitychurch.org or sign-up in the lobby if you’re interested in attending.
