With all that is ahead of us we want to spend some time together in worship and pray for all that God has for us. This will also be a night to discuss ministries you can be involved in and a time for all us to be reminded of why we do what we do week after week. We hope to see you on this great night together.
Freedom Nights are a 12-week journey of understanding our identity in Christ. Each night consists of worship, teaching and an opportunity to meet in small groups for discussion. Our goal is to help participants renew their minds in the context of relationships through small groups. Other churches using this weekly small group curriculum have experienced amazing healing and restoration to the freedom Christ call us to. Freedom equips believers to live the victorious and abundant life Christ came to give us, by overcoming the past and laying a foundation for walking in freedom every day.
We’re back on this week as we continue our Sunday nights together from 6:00PM to 7:30PM. This is a safe place for middle school and high school students to come and build relationships with other kids. We play games and have a time of Bible teaching and discussion in small groups. Invite a friend to come join us. If you have any questions, please reach out to Pastor Dan.
Mark your calendar! Block Party is coming up! Join us as we serve the residents of one of our local communities. Please take time to pray about how you may use your gifts during this event. We will need volunteers to set-up, monitor bounce houses, face paint and other fun activities.
It's time for the Annual Church Down by the River! We will meet at the Peg Bond Center in downtown Batavia. Please join us for an outdoor family service. Bring your chairs, a pop-up tent for shade and come ready for a fun and engaging morning. Please plan to stick around after our Sunday Gathering, live music and food will be provided. You may also want to bring your morning beverage from the coffeehouse of your choice, as we won't have our standard lobby service setup for church that morning.
Chicago is a city full of need and we have an opportunity to show the love of Jesus in an amazingly practical way. Join a team of volunteers from River City Church for a One Day Mission Trip in Chicago to serve with Convoy of Hope on August 25. This is a great day to partner with other churches and with a great organization to serve those that are in need right in our city. We will have the opportunity to serve by giving away shoes and groceries, serving lunch, providing haircuts, giving medical screenings, offering job and career services, helping with the kids zone, family portraits, prayer tent, and more.
This is a day that you don't want to miss! You can learn more by visiting https://www.convoyofhope.org/outreach/chicago/. As you register online, please email email@example.com or sign up in the lobby to let us know you are attending so we can workout transportation to Marquette Park in Chicago.
It's that time of year when we start thinking about a new season. As a new school year approaches, a new season of ministry also begins. We will celebrate this kick-off with a pancake breakfast and hear all about new opportunities to Go, Gather & Grow. If you're available to help prepare breakfast please contact Alicia at firstname.lastname@example.org
As your children age out of their current classrooms they will move into the next classroom in River City Kids. We will also celebrate our middle schoolers as they move up to River City Students. RCS will also begin a new session in the evening starting at 6:00PM.
As we head into the Fall Session of our church we have many outreaches and ministries kicking off. With all that is head of us we want to spend sometime together in worship and pray for all that God has for us. This will also be a night to discuss ministry you can be involved in and a time for all us to be reminded of why we do what we do week after week. We hope to see you on this great night together.
Kids Day 2018 is scheduled fro August 1. Make sure to save the date! We will worship, play games and talk about being super. Sometimes superheroes do great things; other times it’s the little things that make them super. Big and small things add up to a life that honors God and allows us to do some super things for others. On Kids Day we will learn that small acts done for Jesus can lead to a super life and they'll learn how to make life super for others.
If you're interested in volunteering to help plan kids day or to help the day off please email Pastor Dan
Men 18 years and older, come join River City Church for fellowship and breakfast! Join us for an encouraging message and to connect with other men. If you would like to help prepare breakfast around 7:00AM that day, please let Pastor Damian know at email@example.com. This is a morning you don't want to miss!
We are excited about celebrating the independence of our great country. God has blessed us with the ability to worship Him freely, not fearing for our lives like so many of our brothers and sisters around the world. Join us at dusk on Wednesday, July 4 at Engstrom Park for fireworks and fellowship.
This class is the basic introduction to our church family and what makes the DNA of River City Church. Since we have people from many different church backgrounds, this class is designed to clearly explain who we are and what we believe. You will also hear more about the vision of our church and how you can be a part of fulfilling this vision. After attending BELONG, you will be given the opportunity to become a member of River City Church.
Everyone is invited to join us for dinner and a movie as we kick off our Incredible Faith summer. Kids are welcome to get comfy, bring their PJ's and sleeping bag and relax under the big screen for our showing of the Incredibles.
